Professional Gel Extension Tips – ALMOND MEDIUM TIPS

Professional nail technicians use extension tips to create long nails from short natural nails. These tips are durable, allowing 1–2 corrections at most without complete removal. They are strong yet flexible, enabling easy attachment without extra effort. Made of gel (acrylic), the tips can be filed and soaked in gel polish remover.

Extension Method:

1. Removal: Trim the natural nail to 1 mm and shape it round. Use a 220 grit file to gently remove nail plate flakes or a 100 grit buffer.
2. Manicure: If using removers, wash hands with soap and water. Degrease the nail with Nail Prep LUNAmoon using 4 wipes in two approaches: one wipe for 5 fingers across the nail surface, and an orangewood stick wrapped with a wipe to clean the cuticle and nail folds.
3. Optional: Apply dehydrator.
4. Apply LUNAmoon Primer.
5. Apply a base coat of Rubber Base LUNAmoon with a flat gel brush, covering all nail grooves. Cure for 60 seconds and remove tackiness.
6. Select gel tips of the desired size and apply base coat to the contact area inside the tip.
7. Position the tip on the natural nail and hold in place until fully polymerized under the lamp.
8. Shape the nail with a file, remove tackiness and dust.
9. Apply another layer of Rubber Base LUNAmoon and cure for 30 seconds.
10. Level only with colored bases, as gel tips are already hard. Adding another hard material may cause lifting or separation. If using gel polish, level with a clear base.
11. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds.
12. Apply top coat and cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to maintain shine.

Correction Method:

1. Remove the coating down to the tip. If lifting occurs, remove with a milling cutter.
2. File the nail gently with a 220 grit file or 100 grit buffer to lift any flakes.
3. Shape the nail and perform manicure as above, washing hands after using removers and degreasing with Nail Prep LUNAmoon (4 wipes, two approaches).
4. Optional: Apply dehydrator.
5. Apply LUNAmoon Primer and base coat of Rubber Base LUNAmoon, covering nail grooves. Cure 60 seconds and remove tackiness.
6. Level only with colored bases (tips are already hard); if using gel polish, level with clear base.
7. If a step remains under the nail, file it down.
8. Cure in the lamp for 120 seconds, then apply top coat and cure for 120 seconds. Do not wipe after curing to maintain shine.
9. Attention: Corrections can be performed only once or at most twice.
