LUNA Rubber Base, 13 ml
Description
LUNAmoon Rubber Base is a transparent, universal and elastic base for leveling the nail plate. It spreads evenly, self-levels during application and gives a reliable foundation for every type of coating. Rubber Base is available in 13 ml and 30 ml bottles and as a 60 ml refill.
Key features:
- Acidity pH 3–4 – excellent adhesion to the natural nail.
- Medium, self-leveling consistency – easy to work with, even for beginners.
- Base for gel polishes, camouflage bases, builder gels and gel tips.
- Recommended thickness at the free edge: about 0.5 mm.
- Hypoallergenic with a neutral odor.
- Up to 3–4 weeks of wear without lifting.
- Removable by filing or with a soak-off remover.
- Due to its elasticity, it may shrink slightly after 3–4 weeks of wear.
- May cause a warm or burning sensation on damaged or very thin nails (not on healthy nails).
- Volume: 13 ml.
How to apply:
- Remove the previous coating. Do not shorten the nail yet, or leave about 2 mm of extra length to file after leveling.
- Gently mattify the nail plate with a 220 grit file or a 100 grit buffer, without strong pressure.
- Perform a manicure. If you used a cuticle remover, wash your hands with soap and water.
- Degrease the nail in two steps (for example with LUNAmoon Nail Prep): first the nail surface, then the cuticle area and sidewalls with an orangewood stick wrapped in a lint-free wipe.
- Apply primer if needed – with a sufficiently acidic rubber base it is not necessary.
- Rub in a thin layer of Rubber Base with a flat gel brush, working it into all nail folds. Cure for 60 seconds.
- Apply a second, self-leveling layer to level the nail. Cure for 90–120 seconds.
- Refine the shape of the free edge if needed and remove the sticky layer.
- Apply gel polish or a camouflage base, finish with a top coat and cure for 120 seconds.
