How many coats of gel polish do I need?

Usually one or two thin coats. Highly pigmented shades cover in one coat. With sheer or light shades, two thin coats give an even result without streaks.

How long should gel polish be cured?

Most gel polishes cure in about 60 seconds in a 36–48 W LED or hybrid lamp. Low-power lamps, UV lamps and very dark or dense shades may need longer. Always follow the curing time given for the specific product.

Why does gel polish wrinkle after curing?

Most often the coat is too thick or not fully cured. Apply thin coats and cure each one for the full recommended time.

What is the difference between gel polish and a color base?

Gel polish is a color layer applied over a base. A color base combines the base and color in one flexible layer that also levels the nail. It's ideal for nude and natural manicures.

Can I use regular gel polish for pedicure?
